I don't know about you but my head is spinning! I am sure yours is too as this has been one of the weirdest week's in education that I have experienced and that is saying a lot given the past ten months!
I do have to say that I have found the Twitter community to be the calm in the midst of the storm recently. A safe haven where I can stop, ask questions, seek resources and solace and remind myself that I am not alone and we aren't!
Tomorrow sees the launch of #TinyVoiceTalks on Twitter (if you can call renaming #TinyVoiceTuesdayUnites a launch). I can't wait!!! This community is one that I am so proud to be part of, as it is truly supportive of all. I love people's tweets but more so, I love the replies. People letting others know that they hear them and are there if they need them, sharing ideas and offering words of comfort - which have been much needed recently.
Last week, Chris Quinn from Canada posted this -
and I thought it summed up our community beautifully. We are apart and in fact, I have only met one person in real-life out of all the people who regularly join, but I feel utterly connected with everyone. There are bigger voices and smaller voices on the thread each week but they are all like-minded individuals who want to be there to support one another.
Each week, James tweets that it is collaboration not competition that is needed in education and it is. That is what will see us through the stormy waters that we are currently in and will enable us to safely get to the other side. That is what I see happening on threads such as #TinyVoiceTalks - collaboration and support. So thank you for being there and supporting me and if you aren't sure what I am talking about here is a quick guide.
Find my pinned tweet and follow the instructions
Busiest from 5:30am - 7:30am before everyone goes to school but on all day ( I am on the thread at this time).
Meet new people, ask questions and find your voice.
This is what the new artwork is like so look out for it tomorrow!
I hope to see you tomorrow or if not some Tuesday in the near future!
